The Trinity River Authority of Texas is seeking a Senior Electronic Technician in Roanoke, Texas. This position involves the installation, operation, and maintenance of advanced instrumentation and telemetry systems. Candidates should have substantial experience in electronic repairs and maintenance and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Regularly leads the work of other employees.
May order supplies, equipment parts, material and equipment for departmental use and generate purchase requisitions.
Education: High school diploma or GED and sixty college credit hours preferred or equivalent technical education. Associate’s degree in electronics or completion of a two‑year trade school preferred. Approved training courses in electronics preferred.
Experience: Four years of related experience in the repair and maintenance of sophisticated electronic equipment preferred. Must have ability to calculate mathematical equations.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Texas driver’s license; State of Texas Journeyman electrical license preferred. Current Class II Collection System if working in Collection System or Class C or Operator license (Class C Water Operator license for water plant) as issued by the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality or ability to obtain one within two years from date of hire.
Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of A.C., D.C. analog and digital electronics, understanding of industrial instrumentation process control; support, operate and maintain multiple proprietary flow instrumentation and remote telemetry units. Operating system and application software knowledge; knowledge of state and federal confined space entry regulations and safety equipment use.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to calculate mathematical formulas; read and apply information from operation and maintenance manuals, schematics, blueprints and safety data sheets; high mental attentiveness, patience, persistence, concentration, good oral and written skills, recordkeeping and organization.
Receives regular instruction, follows guidelines and procedures; escalates issues when necessary.
Requires passing a physical and physical ability assessment specific to the position.
Exposure to weather, odor, noise, chemical hazards, gases and dust; standing and walking for prolonged periods; stairs, ladders, working at heights, confined spaces.
Precision test equipment, oscilloscopes, signal generators, analog and digital calibration equipment, office equipment, two‑way radio, pickup truck, power tools, construction materials, electric insulation tools, confined space entry equipment and personal protective equipment.
