Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain electronic, acoustic, video, mechanical, and electro-hydraulic range systems.
- Conduct equipment maintenance and system upgrades monthly, including backup and restoration of software.
- Maintain logs, perform trend analysis, and update databases related to range systems.
- Provide technical support for shipboard simulations, fleet validation/verification, and recovery systems.
- Analyze failures, prepare Failure Analysis Reports, and recommend improvements.
- Assist in designing, developing, and fabricating equipment for USW Test, Training, and Evaluation.
- Support environmental and functional tests following furnished instructions.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and analyze failures.
- Handle classified information securely between government facilities.
Key Equipment Support Areas
- Setup, installation, maintenance, and removal of test equipment such as vibration systems, climatic chambers, shock & acceleration equipment, and acoustic testing devices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in electronic repair, soldering, or a related technical field.
- Expertise in electronic repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and working with mechanical and communication systems.
- Experience with databases for test tracking and analysis.
- Ability to follow detailed test procedures and technical instructions.
- Must possess a Secret Security Clearance.
Compensation
Pay range: $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr, with additional benefits such as health and welfare contributions.
