Job Description

General Description: STi plans, organizes, directs, and controls NUWCDIVKPT’s Test, Training, and Evaluation (TT&E) of Undersea Warfare (USW) Systems and Operational Readiness Assessment support for Acquisition and Fleet customers. We conduct system evaluations throughout all phases of the acquisition lifecycle, including technology development, system design, development, production, and in-service readiness assessment. Our activities include planning and executing test programs, providing realistic test environments, measuring system performance, and conducting performance analysis and evaluation. We also support T&E planning, test execution, and analytical support, including Analysis and Assessment, Fleet Material Readiness, Signatures, and Susceptibility.

Responsibilities:
  • Support undersea tracking range operations by operating and maintaining range support systems, providing maintenance logs, trend analysis, and updating range databases.
  • Operate and maintain electronic, acoustic, video, mechanical, and electro-hydraulic range systems. Verify system operability, log maintenance actions, conduct equipment maintenance, and support system backups and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support for Fleet Validation/Verification, Range Tests, and Shipboard Simulation and Recovery Systems. Categorize and analyze failure data, prepare Failure Analysis Reports, and input data into Range Databases.
  • Assist in the design, development, fabrication, and assembly of equipment and components under development by the USW Test, Training, and Evaluation Group.
  • Provide repair support for MK30 Target components, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying cables and hardware such as Power Units, Projectors, Control Assemblies, and Propulsion Motors.
  • Support Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV), including system breakdown, reassembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance for projects like MTV, XTV, Razorback, and Snakehead.
Job Requirements:
  • Desired Associates' Degree and at least one year of related experience.
  • Secret Clearance required.
  • Hourly rate: $30.67, plus $4.54 for Health and Welfare.
  • Start date: As soon as possible.
  • Location: Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport, WA.
  • Contract duration: 5 years, with potential re-compete. Personnel may have the first right of refusal for future employment if the contract changes hands.
