Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3+ years of technical experience installing electronics/electrical systems.
• Experience with IDS, access control, CCTV, intercoms, mass notification, fiber optics, PCB installation, and low voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronics per guidelines and requirements.
• Read, interpret, and draw electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters and cable testers (e.g., Fluke, Klein, Ideal).
• Follow wiring guidelines and read building blueprints.
• Adhere to NEC requirements and grounding/electrical safety practices.
• Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security wiring and power circuits.
• Provide logistics support for INCO/MAMs kits and interim spare kits.
• Provide lab support for material harvesting, testing, assembly, packaging, and spare inventory.
• Apply RCM to develop PMS Maintenance Index Pages and RMCs and respond to Navy TFBRs.

Electronic Technician

Purpose:

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need to provide an Electronic Technicianwho will provide key support for the Navy's SSDS initiatives on site at Dam Neck Annex base in Virginia Beach, VA.

Job Description:

• Responsible for assembling various Electronics per specific guideline and requirements.
• Read, interpret, and draw electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics.
• Be familiar with and use test equipment such as multimeters and cable testers (e.g., Fluke, Klein, Ideal).
• Follow strict installation wiring guidelines and read and interpret building construction plans (blueprints).
• Knowledgeable with National Electric Code (NEC) requirements and practices such as grounding and electrical safety.
• Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security wiring & power circuits.
• Provide logistics support for INCO kits, MAMs kits, interim spare kits for repair and upgrade.
• Provide lab support for Harvesting of Material and Testing, Assembly, Packaging, Inventory of Spares.
• Apply the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) process to develop Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs), Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) and to respond to Navy PMS Technical Feed Back Reports (TFBRs).

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma and at least 3 years of technical experience with installation of electronics/electrical systems.
• Must have experience as a technician with installation of electronics/electrical systems including, but not limited to:
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • Closed Circuit Television
  • Intercom Systems
  • Mass Notification Systems
  • Fiber Optic cable assemblies.
  • Printed Computer Boards (PCB) Installation.
  • Low Voltage Electrical Systems

• Must be able to use basic test equipment and the preparation of site test data and documentation.
• Must have the ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment, be detailed orientated, and self-motivated.
• Must have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or under limited supervision.
• Must have the ability to install, test and troubleshoot Electronic System equipment, read schematics and technical manuals.

Desired Qualifications:

• Prefer at least 3 years of experience in electronic system installation and testing.
• Prefer at least 3 years of technical experience with installation of electronics/electrical ESS systems.
• Prefer a manufacturer's certification or technical training.
• Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and Adobe Acrobat.
• Prefer a OSHA 10- or 30-hour Safety Certification.

Security Requirements:

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance with the possibility to upgrade to "Top Secret" if required.
• Must be a US Citizen with a current Passport and valid Driver's License.

Travel Requirements:

• Travel is less than 10%.
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
