Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electronic Technician II (Maintenance) to support highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior leaders, and visiting dignitaries.

You will perform maintenance on electrical and environmental systems, LOX/GOX carts, air purge units, and related equipment, while ensuring safety and compliance. Training and cross-utilization opportunities are available, with shift flexibility including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and environmental system repair procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Must possess FAA Airframe license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
  • Prefer three years of experience and specialized courses in electrical and environmental systems.

Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes maintenance on electrical and environmental systems components installed on aircraft per technical data requirements.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance on LOX/GOX carts, ground service air purge units, air compressors, and related equipment.
  • Maintains aerospace ground support batteries and coordinates with bases and supervisors.
  • Ensures safety, housekeeping, tool control, and FOD prevention programs are followed.
  • Willing to work day, second, third shifts, and weekends as needed.

Job description

The Electronic Technician II (Maintenance) is responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Accomplishes organization and intermediate level maintenance on electrical and environmental systems components installed on Boeing and Gulf Stream aircraft, among others, IAW technical data requirements.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance on Liquid Oxygen Carts (LOX) and Gaseous Oxygen carts (GOX). ground service Air Purge Units, shop Air Compressors, and Fuel Cell Explosion Proof Drop Lights.
  • Services and maintains Rotor Wing, Fixed Wing, aerospace ground support equipment batteries.
  • Coordinates with Base CE through TRIRIGGA on any issues concerning battery storage areas. Assist in the training and direction of assigned personnel.
  • Coordinates the maintenance efforts with the Production Supervisors and Maintenance Operation Coordination Center.
  • Uses and inputs data in Maintenance Information System programs. Ensures compliance with applicable safety, housekeeping, tool control, and FOD prevention programs.
  • Shall perform other duties as assigned, to include TDY and travel.
  • Receives cross-utilization training and is qualified to perform maintenance tasks associated within classification.
  • Must be able to work, day shift, second shift, third shift, and/or weekend shifts.
  • Assist the 113th Air National Guard and The Navy in purging their Liquid Oxygen Carts.
  • May be tasked to perform work center additional duties with provided training.
  • Must maintain training qualifications.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have a working knowledge of electrical and environmental system repair procedures.
  • A working knowledge of procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. The ability to read and interpret data and wiring diagrams is required.
  • Must meet physical requirements, occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Must possess FAA Airframe license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years' experience is preferred.
  • Completion of specialized courses in electrical and environmental systems is preferred.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE:
