Responsibilities

The Electronic Technician 1 will be responsible for maintaining PacifiCorp communication systems, including voice and data communication systems, telephone systems, PBX's, DCS, microwave radio systems, land mobile radio systems, SCADA systems, power line carrier equipment, telemetry, fiber optics/lightwave, and associated switching and termination equipment. Responsibilities also include installation, testing, and certification of these systems. Off-road travel in extreme weather conditions may be required. The technician will typically work independently but may collaborate with other personnel and may oversee an Electronic Technician Assistant. The role involves managing vehicles, tools, and materials supplied by the company.

Minimum Requirements

• Two years of experience as an Electronic Technician in a power utility environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Passing journeyman level written and practical tests
• FCC GROL License with elements 1 and 3
