Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions is seeking a field-tested technician to perform in-process test procedures on circuit boards for naval systems. You will troubleshoot to the component level, read schematics, and load software for system testing.

Occasional travel to customer sites for inspections, installations, and repairs is required. The role emphasizes adherence to Quality Management System procedures and collaboration with Engineering for new systems development.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the electrical/electronic testing field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Write in-process test procedures for circuit boards.
  • Test fixture design a plus.
  • Troubleshoot down to the component level.
  • Work with Engineering to support new systems development.
  • Load software for system testing.
  • Read schematics and wiring diagrams prior to testing.
  • Report unusual or recurring faults and failures.
  • Return defective components to Quality Assurance.
  • Travel to customers to conduct inspections, installations, and repairs.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • All Write in-process test procedures for circuit boards
  • Test fixture design a plus
  • Troubleshoot down to the component level
  • Work closely with Engineering to provide support for new systems development
  • Load software for system testing
  • Strong ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams or wire lists prior to system testing
  • Report unusual and/or recurring faults and failures
  • Return defective components to Quality Assurance
  • Travel to customers to conduct inspections, installations, and repairs
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Compliance with Quality Management System procedures
Required Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in the electrical/electronic testing field
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
Desired Skills
  • 2+ years of experience testing high voltage power supplies
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree desirable
  • Established security clearance highly desirable
  • Power conversion/power supply experience desirable
  • Working knowledge of digital electronics
  • A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and test equipment including the use of digital oscilloscope
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematic diagrams
  • Must be safety conscious
  • Experience with Analog & Digital power circuits
  • Strong breadboarding and prototyping skills
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Some travel required to support Fielded Equipment, Domestic and International
Physical Requirements
  • Standing for long periods of time while performing tests on large power equipment
  • Bending and kneeling to wire-up power equipment
  • Carry tools approximately 35 LBS for onsite travel to shipyards and test facilities, if required
Compensation Information

Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 USD (Annually)

Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to offer, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
