ARTAZN® is seeking a skilled Technician to maintain electrical and electronic control systems and support production equipment uptime. The role includes learning new equipment with maintenance electricians, overseeing spare parts, and rotating on-call weekends.
You will identify new electronic systems in the market and manage installation and startup, while assisting engineering for data exchange and system operation.
The Technician provides electrical and electronic technical services for process and control equipment for all operating departments in the facilityand for buildingand grounds and utilities. Securesequipment and overseesinstallation of new and improved equipment and systems for the enhanced profitability of this Division.
40% Maintains the hardware and software for electrical and electronic control systems to ensure production equipment up-time is optimized and provides trouble shooting services.
25% Assists Maintenance electricians to learn the new equipment and operations as well as the establishment of spare parts and materials
15 % The technician is on call for rotating weekends (on call schedule is divide among all available technical personnel).10% Identifies new electronic systems in the marketplace, recommends purchase, and oversees the installation and startup of the new systems.
10% Provides support to the engineering department members to ensurethe proper exchangeof data and information for a successful operating system.
Knowledge
The technician must have Associate degree in electronics technology and demonstrate technical strengths in PLC’s, AC/DCdrive systems, and process control instrumentation.
Experience
3 to 5 years of PLC, AC/DC drive systems and process control instrumentation preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment.
SkillsTEAM BUILDING: Able to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitments to goals and objectives. Able to act in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics.
PROBLEM SOLVING: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use handsto finger, handle,or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.The employee is occasionally requiredto sit; reachwith hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, touch or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds,and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds unassisted.
