Job summary

KBI Staffing is seeking an Electronic Diagnostic & Repair Technician in North Attleboro, MA. The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing various manufacturing and electrical equipment, assembling or modifying electronic equipment, and assisting engineering with new machine designs.

This position requires hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, soldering, and the use of test instruments to ensure quality repairs and reliable operation of equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Technical and electro-mechanical capacity.
• Hand soldering of wires and components.
• High power and stereo microscope use.
• Solid troubleshooting skills.
• Interpret and understand schematics and blueprints.
• Utilize small hand tools (wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers).
• Proficient with measuring instruments (micrometers, dial calipers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems.
• Use diagnostic equipment including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Wire, solder, build, and repair electrical components and assemblies.
• Document repairs, test results, and procedures.
• Determine materials, replacement parts, and tools for repairs and rebuilds.
• Complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Job Description & Summary/Objective:

The electronic diagnostic & repair technician’s primary role will be troubleshooting and repairing various manufacturing and electrical equipment, assembling, or modifying electronic equipment and components. Assist engineering and equipment maintenance with new machine designs.

Essential Functions:

1. 1. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems
2. 2. Use diagnostic equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test instruments
3. 3. Wire, solder, build, and repair electrical components and assemblies
4. 4. Document repairs, test results, and procedures
5. 5. Determine materials, replacement parts, and tools needed for repairs and rebuilds.
6. 7. Complete tasks as directed by the Manager with minimum supervision
7. 8. Perform other duties as assigned
