Job summary

Vitro is seeking an Electronic Technician to maintain and optimize plant process control equipment on a 12-hour shift, three or four days per week, at our Meadville facility. You will calibrate, troubleshoot, and service electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, develop procedures, train staff, and contribute to safe, efficient operations.

Minimum of two years of technical training or related work is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure process control equipment is calibrated, running efficiently and to specifications.
• Formats and establishes preventative maintenance procedures for process equipment and systems and insures proper compliance.
• Modifies, configures, services, and maintains computer, microprocessor, and process controller systems throughout the plant.
• Operate and performs basic programming for microprocessors, process controllers, and various computers as required.
• Propose, appraise, and purchase new equipment for projects to enhance plant operation. Conducts surveys and evaluates results to determine efficiency and/or suitability of process control devices or systems.
• Develops and conducts training sessions on process control systems and equipment for all levels of involved plant personnel.

We are looking for an Electronic Technician that will be responsible for effective operation of current plant process control, electronic, instrument, electrical, and mechanical equipment by performing preventative maintenance, calibrating, and troubleshooting, repairing and modifying equipment to keep the plant running efficiently. This is a 12 hour shift position working 3 or4 days per week
