Job summary

State of Florida is seeking an Electronic Technician II for Union Correctional Institution in the Maintenance Department. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, and installation of electronic and electrical systems within a correctional facility.

Applicants must meet education and experience requirements and have a valid driver’s license. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, calibrate testing equipment, and keep detailed records, while supporting inmate work programs and

Qualifications

A high school diploma or its equivalent and at least one (1) year of experience in the electronics /electrician field OR four or more years of electronics experience (College or vocational/technical training can substitute for the required experience).
A valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Maintains, repairs, and installs electrical infrastructure, systems, and devices.
Performs preventive maintenance, tests, logs, and keeps records per procedures.
Repairs and modifies complex electronic equipment and calibrates testing equipment.
Plans, organizes work, requisitions parts, and follows policies and procedures.
Prepares reports and participates in staff training and related duties.
