Job summary

HEICO is seeking an Electronic Sub Assembler under the Production Manager to perform manual sub-assembly of products by soldering components onto printed circuit boards, using hand or machine methods.

The role trains in soldering, reads blueprints and process sheets, inspects parts for defects, and operates pick-n-place equipment, board washers and ovens; strong leadership and attention to detail are valued, with no required prior soldering experience.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience in electronic assembly involving soldering through hole and surface mount parts.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Soldering through hole and surface mount experience preferred (training provided).

Responsibilities

  • Solders components onto printed circuit boards via hand or machine method.
  • Reads manufacturing documentation such as blueprints, process sheets and assembly drawings.
  • Receives verbal instructions and follows them.
  • Examines parts for defects such as cuts, pinholes, or chips.
  • Replaces defective components.
  • Enters information on production records and reports.
  • Repairs defective units rejected by inspection or test personnel.
  • Performs sub-assembly of products and builds wire harnesses.
  • Operates pick-n-place machines, solder paste machines, ovens and related equipment.
  • Performs self-inspection visually and with microscope.
