Overview

We are seeking an Electronic Security Technical Specialist 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. The successful candidate will be part of a team designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Support system administration and engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot systems and operating systems using advanced networking and system administration knowledge.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and system administrators.
• Train users and support personnel.
• Modify preventive maintenance checklists and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Document system performance and support records.
• Perform hardware setup, imaging, and updates.
• Research and evaluate existing and future systems.
• Provide on-site support post-deployment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and SOP/SOW documentation.
• Maintain test lab equipment and interface with engineering teams.
• Coordinate installation issues with field personnel and engineers.
• Assist support calls on installation issues.
• Research new system manufacturers and perform related tasks.

Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: US Citizenship required; ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Position/Experience: High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience or Associates with 6+ years.

Reliable attendance, flexible schedule, and up to 30% travel required.

Desired Qualifications

Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems, and experience with systems like Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch IDS/CCTV, BVMS, Aiphone, FFT, virtualization, networking, and Windows.
