Job summary

Trofholz Technologies is seeking an Electronic Security (ESS) Installation Technician to join our team. You will install and service low voltage cabling, access control, CCTV, and data networks, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely project completions.

The role requires willingness to travel up to 50%, the ability to work independently, and a HS diploma with related training. Candidates must be able to obtain a government security clearance and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and applicable training certification.
• 0-2 years related experience in electronic security systems.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and speak, read, and write English.
• Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope and required tasks.
• Follow specifications and obtain written approvals for deviations.
• Install low voltage cabling for access control, intrusion, intercom, CCTV.
• Install and terminate data communication cabling and data equipment.
• Complete installations efficiently while ensuring high quality.
• Troubleshoot systems and participate in safety meetings.
• Communicate daily activities and manage tools/materials.

As a Electronic Security (ESS) Installation Technician, you'll be part of a fantastic team, working on cutting‑edge electronic security systems and data communication networks. With over 22 years of excellence, Trofholz leads the industry in securing critical infrastructures.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Understand the scope of what you are required to do for the project
• Follow all required specifications for a job only deviating from them with written approval
• Installation of:
  • Low voltage cabling required for access control, intrusion detection, intercom and CCTV systems
  • Electronic access control & intrusion detection boards and equipment within equipment enclosures
• Installation and termination of:
  • Copper and fiber data communications cable and connectivity
  • Head‑end equipment, such as servers, DVR's NVR's, matrix switchers, Ethernet switches, etc. within equipment enclosures and racks
• Complete Installations as efficiently as possible to stay under allocated hours, while providing high‑quality Installations daily
• Properly mount (secure, level, centered) various equipment including displays, equipment enclosures, power supplies, switches, security cameras, and equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications
• Perform system troubleshooting
• Participate in safety meetings and follow ALL safety guidelines
• Complete assigned tasks as directed in the amount of time allocated
• Communicate daily activities
• Protect and keep track of all materials/tools in your possession and follow all check‑in/out procedures
• Present yourself in a professional manner when on company time, both in your physical appearance and demeanor
• Willing to travel & work flexible shifts as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and applicable training certification
• 0-2 years related experience with a focus on the electronic security system industry
• Understand standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry
• Be willing to learn and apply information and techniques as instructed by senior personnel
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Provide your own basic hand tools and understand the operation and safety of project‑specific tools
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance
• Ability to travel up to 50%
• Ability to speak, write and read English
• A valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance are necessary

Preferred

• Previous experience working with federal government agencies
• OSHA Certification

Pay: $21.60 - $22.00 an hour
