Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Milwaukee, WI seeks an experienced embedded hardware design engineer to own and contribute to the full product development life cycle.

You will design hardware schematics in Altium Designer, perform PCB layout, verification testing of BMU/ CSU boards, and support EMI/EMC validation, fixture building, and voltage testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve complex issues using standard engineering methods.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in EC/EE/TE required.
• 5+ years of relevant embedded hardware experience.
• Experience with DFMEA and test plans.

Responsabilités

• Involved in the complete product development life cycle.
• Strong hardware design experience and understanding of software basics.
• Generate electronic circuit schematics in Altium Designer.
• High degree of embedded PCB layout design using Altium Designer.
• Engineering verification testing of BMU and CSU boards; testing, debugging and measurement with electronic test equipment.
• Support in preparation of test fixtures and pre-validation of hardware; wiring harnesses for testing.
• EMI/EMC validation prep; develop test setups for EMC testing.
• Voltage compatibility tests and voltage transient testing on BMS units.
• Review specifications to design hardware, write/execute test plans, perform analyses.
• Perform detailed circuit analysis and DFMEAs considering operational/environmental parameters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers; resolve complex issues.

Job Description

Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/M.S in EC/EE/TE

Experience: 5 yrs or more

Technical Skills

• Involving completed product development life cycle.
• Strong electronic hardware design experience, understand some software.
• Generate electronic circuit Schematics in Altium Designer
• High degree of experience in embedded PCB layout design using Altium Designer.
• Engineering verification testing of BMU and CSU board. Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and their function. Experienced using electronics measurement equipment to perform circuit testing, troubleshooting and debug.
• Support in the preparation to Test Fixture and Pre-Validation of the Hardware. Building of test equipment and wire harnessing to be used in testing.
• Support in the preparation of EMI/EMC validation of the hardware. Developing test equipment and set ups to be used in EMC testing.
• Voltage compatibility (In house VDA320). Performing voltage transient testing on BMS units.
• Reviewing specification and requirements to design hardware, write and execute test plans, and perform analysis.
• Experience performing detailed circuit analysis and DFMEAs considering operational and environmental parameters.
• Experience working with cross functional engineering teams and suppliers.
• Experienced in problems solving of complex problems using of industry standard techniques.
