Job summary

Lycoming Engines, a Textron Systems subsidiary, is seeking an experienced Electronic Mechanic for the Williamsport area. You will install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial electronic equipment, machinery and instrumentation, including heat-treating instrumentation, using schematics, wiring diagrams and field data to locate faults and install components.

This full-time role on first shift requires a High School diploma or GED and completion of an electronics apprenticeship or related

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship or associate degree/trade program in industrial electronics, or 2–4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial electronic equipment, machinery and instrumentation.
• Maintain instrumentation in heat-treating areas and use schematics, wiring diagrams, and charts to locate faults or install components.
• Perform duties safely and in accordance with quality and production standards.

JOB SCOPE

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all types of simple to complex industrial electronic equipment, machinery and instrumentation. In addition, install, repair and maintain instrumentation in the heat-treating area. Utilize electronic testing equipment, schematic prints, wiring diagrams, handbooks, formulae, blueprints and charts to locate and repair malfunctions or install components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.
• Perform assigned work in a safety conscious manner.
• Perform assigned work to specified quality and production standards.
• Maintain equipment and tools used by the individual in a clean condition.
• Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individual's immediate work area in a clean condition.
• Prepare and/or maintain all documentation necessary to the duties of the job classification.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of apprenticeship as an electronic mechanic or electronic technician; or an associate degree, certificate program or trade school program in industrial electronics and two years’ experience as an electronic mechanic or electronic technician; or 4 years’ experience as an electronic mechanic or electronic technician.
