Job description

Honeywell's Federal Manufacturing & Technologies business manages the U.S. Department of Energy Kansas City National Security Campus in Missouri and New Mexico, manufacturing sophisticated mechanical, electronic, and engineered-material components for our nation's defense system. Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Calibrate and maintain equipment in assigned area
  2. Participate in continuous improvement activities
  3. Support the Honeywell Operating System
  4. Maintain work area for operation and cleanliness
  5. Comply with all safety rules
  6. Record and report production data
  7. Analyze data and production reports
  8. Set up and change over equipment
  9. Use measuring and diagnostic tools
  10. Train primarily on 2nd shift and be able to work 2nd shift

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship, able to obtain and maintain US DOE "Q" level security clearance
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work any shift
  • Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, a two-year Electronics Technical Degree, or equivalent military training or experience

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Troubleshooting to component level; familiarity with three-phase AC
  • Experience in calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools
  • Experience operating complex test equipment, calibration software, and following calibration procedures and manuals
  • Ability to read drawings, electrical diagrams, and schematics
  • Experience with vacuum, pressure, or temperature chambers
  • Strong organizational skills, statistical math capabilities, and ability to work independently
  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
