Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Special Electronic Devices Repairer to maintain and operate night vision, navigational, and other electronic equipment. You will test instruments, read schematics, replace parts, and ensure quality control.

Senior technicians may supervise and train others. You will train through 10 weeks of Basic Training and 25 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with opportunities for tuition assistance and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Interest in mathematics, solving problems, and electronic equipment repair.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to learnand operate complex electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Test instruments, navigational controls, and simulators.
• Read technical diagrams and manuals; replace parts and troubleshoot.
• Supervise and train other Soldiers in the craft (advanced level).
• Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure quality control.
