A leading company in automotive technology seeks an Electronic Design Engineer II for their Infotainment Hardware team. We are seeking a talented and motivated Electronic Design Engineer II to join our Infotainment Hardware team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of cutting-edge electronic modules for our next-generation in-vehicle infotainment and connectivity systems. You will play a key part in bringing innovative features and seamless user experiences to our customers.
Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for infotainment hardware modules, including schematic capture and component selection.
Perform circuit simulations and analyses to ensure design integrity and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and manufacturing, to define system requirements and ensure successful integration.
Develop and execute test plans for design validation, including functional, electrical, and environmental testing.
Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues at the board and system level.
Generate comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in electronic hardware design and development.
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
Proficiency with schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, PADS).
Experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, etc.).
Familiarity with communication protocols such as PCIe, CAN, Ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI.
Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal integrity principles.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced development cycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Python for test equipment automation and data analysis.
Skilled in tuning RF circuits for optimal performance, utilizing both simulation data and real-world testing to achieve desired specifications and improve signal quality
Experience designing cellular or WiFi/Bluetooth products.
Salary Range for Northern California Based Candidates: $105,400 - $131,300 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
