Job summary

The Planet Group in Saint Charles, MO is seeking an EDI Developer for a role that is onsite three days per week. Relocation assistance is available, and the client will not sponsor or transfer H1B; GC/USC candidates only.

The role requires 3+ years of ERP integration experience and 2+ years of hands-on EDI work, including onboarding partners and configuring workflows. Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are essential.

EDI Developer

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in mid-to-large-scale environments, such as IFS, Epicor, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• 2+ years of hands-on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience, including onboarding new trading partners, configuring integrations, and supporting complex transaction workflows.
• Experience working with industry-standard EDI formats and protocols, including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT, with knowledge of transaction sets such as 850 (Purchase Order), 810 (Invoice), and similar business documents.
• Familiarity with EDI Value-Added Networks (VANs); experience with Cleo integration solutions is highly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve integration and data exchange issues across ERP and EDI environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting ERP-to-EDI integrations in manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, or retail environments.
• Knowledge of API-based integrations and modern data exchange methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, vendors, and external trading partners to design and implement EDI solutions.
