Job description

Role Overview and Responsibilities

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Introduction

The Electronics Assembly Operator III is responsible for performing repetitive intermediate-level assembly work on low-volume, high-mix assembly lines to mass produce transformers and inductors. Is responsible for being a reliable team member that can work independently within the team and meet our expectations of core values. This role maintains a clean and safe work area and follows standard work as trained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs responsibilities of Electronics Assembler Operator I and Electronics Assembler Operator II.
  • Performs and provides expertise with advance assembly work involving heavy/fine wires, fine lams, and complex assemblies inside shells/housing.
  • Performs setup with different machines like stamping, banding, molding, and tape and reel.
  • IPC 610 and/or IPC 620 certified and able to perform higher-level inspections using 10x or higher magnification.
  • Operates and maintains complex winding machines.
  • Performs precision soldering utilizing a soldering iron.
  • Performs complex gluing processes.
  • Operates and maintains complex winding machines.
  • Performs transformer coil wire assembly.
  • Performs complex gluing processes.
  • Displays the highest level of quality standards.
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Possesses basic understanding of problem solving and ability to identify and solve quality problems.
  • Possesses an advanced understanding of the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Possesses an advanced understanding of the principles of visual workplace management
  • Able to read and understand production drawings and work instructions.
  • Able to work with chemicals.
  • Good manual dexterity/ability to work with wire sizes 10 to 46 American Wire Gauge (AWG).
  • Meets vision requirements specified by quality management system.
  • The position is on the production floor and could involve sitting for a long period of time, but not limited to standing, walking, and lifting throughout the day.
  • Lifting amount up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • GED or High School Diploma preferred but not required.
  • Two or more years of employment with TT Electronics.
  • J-STD-001D Soldering Certified.
  • Soldering experience of one year is preferred.
  • Prior experience with assembly in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Inspection and trainer experience is preferred.
