Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a full-time Electronic Assembler for our client in Ithaca, NY. The role focuses on soldering, electro-mechanical assembly, and testing of PC boards, cables, and related components.

You will use meters, oscilloscopes, and precision hand tools to build, inspect, and repair assemblies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with specifications. A background in similar roles and at least 2 years of soldering experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of soldering experience.
• Experience with PC boards, light mechanical and cable assembly.
• Familiar with meters, oscilloscopes, and basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed soldering, rework, and repair of PCBs across various component package types.
• Inspect assemblies for quality and compliance, adjusting or replacing components as needed to meet specifications.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble electronic assemblies and subassemblies following technical instructions and documentation.
• Apply knowledge of complex electrical and mechanical assembly processes to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Carry out advanced rework procedures, including conformal coating removal and repair.
• Utilize microscopes, magnification equipment, and precision tools for soldering, inspection, and repair tasks.
• Safely operate a range of hand and power tools to complete assembly and modification work efficiently.
