Job summary

The Assembler position must Assemble, test, and calibrate portable instruments used by the Utility industry to identify natural gas leaks. Provide customer support through new products and repairs to meet customer demands. Instruments are used to safely protect lives and property associated with natural gas distribution.

Responsibilities
  • Perform bench assembly and subassembly, including chassis wiring, harness making, and loading and soldering P.C. boards.
  • Insure quality standards are maintained on all products and recommend improvements.
  • Perform simple repairs during assembly process.
  • Assemble wiring for various parts and components.
  • Cut and assemble wires and wiring harnesses.
  • Assemble and solder printed circuit boards.
  • Record, compute, and analyze necessary test data.
  • Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain orderly work area.
  • Recommend improvements in quality, procedures, components, and processes.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Two-year technical degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have formal training in electronics technology.
  • Must have two to five years of experience.
  • Computer literate, Epicor a plus

HOURLY PAY: Pay is dependent on experience
