Job summary

Stefanini Group in Hillsboro, OR is seeking an Electron Microscope Technician for the 2nd shift, onsite, to perform SEM imaging and sample preparation supporting R&D projects and QC workloads. This role requires hands‑on SEM experience and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred qualifications include 2–5 years in electron microscopy (FIB a plus), a BS in STEM (or HS diploma with relevant experience), and solid troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

Timings: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Job Description

• CLIENT Electronics Materials, located in Hillsboro OR, is looking for a full-time technician to perform electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on the weekends.

NOTE: Pay rate range will be from $28 - $32 USD/hr depending on experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider those with HS Diploma who have the required work experience.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2-5 years' experience in electron microscopy preferably in a QC/ R&D environment or someone who has less experience but is trainable.
• Good problem-solving / troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
• Ability to hand-on operate Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is required (2+ years of experience)
• Ability to operate Focused ion-beam (FIB) is preferred.
• Preferred BS Degree in STEM with basic knowledge in semiconductor
• Familiarity with characterization techniques in general
• Expected to work independently with minimum supervision as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to work on the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment needed occasionally.

Interviews

• First round will be phone and then second round will be onsite.

Notes

NOTE: HM is willing to consider candidates that previously interviewed but the HM may not want to pay them at the top of the pay scale so BEFORE you submit them, please ensure they are ok with any rate ($28/hr - $32/hr).
