This is a one-year, full-time, temporary opportunity.

The Career & Technical Education Department at Porterville College is seeking a faculty member for an Electromechanical Technology Instructor for the Porterville College location. Minimum Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

Any Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years of experience;
OR
An Associate's degree AND six (6) years of experience;
OR
The equivalent, with supporting documentation.

Must demonstrate sensitivity to students from diverse backgrounds and students with disabilities.

Note: Degrees from outside the U.S. must be evaluated by an approved credential evaluation service.

Knowledge & Abilities

Candidates should demonstrate broad knowledge in the discipline and the ability to:

  • Work effectively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds;
  • Develop curriculum for various delivery modalities;
  • Engage in recruitment and articulation activities;
  • Communicate effectively in writing and orally;
  • Maintain subject matter currency;
  • Assess learning outcomes;
  • Use technology to support student success;

Salary Range: $84,133.91 - $155,983.37 annually
Maximum Entry Level Salary: $110,393.67 annually
