Job summary

Valmont is hiring an Electromechanical Technician I for our Valley, NE facility. This role keeps critical systems running, powering energy grids and smarter infrastructure, with a 3rd shift schedule Sunday–Thursday 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Compensation is $36.90/hour with a $2.00/hour shift differential and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for EMT II-qualified candidates. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, read schematics, and support production safety and efficiency in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• Basic experience or training in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing motors, drives, relays, sensors, and controllers.
• Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Supporting production operations and equipment efficiency.
• Following all safety protocols and contributing to a safe work environment.

Shift Available:

3rd Shift (Sunday-Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)

Compensation: $36.90/hour ($34.90/hour + $2.00/hour shift differential for 3rd Shift)

Interview process will consist of an online assessment and a hands-on test.
