Job summary

SMARTqube is seeking an Electromechanical Technician in Jeannette, PA to lead the precise assembly of electrical and mechanical components for motor controls and related equipment. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork within a manufacturing setting.

You will read schematics, wire and solder connections, perform tests, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues while maintaining a clean, safe work area and meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or trade school degree.
  • Experience in wiring.
  • Proven experience as an Integration Technician in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Familiarity with electrical components, circuits, and assembly techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Proficient in using basic hand tools and other assembly equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Team player with good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to accurately assemble control panels.
  • Perform wiring, soldering, and crimping of connections, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilize hand tools, soldering irons, and other equipment to assemble and test electrical components.
  • Conduct functional tests on assembled products to identify and address any issues, working closely with the quality control team.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly challenges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and handling of electrical components.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
