Job summary

SQA Services in Lexington, VA is seeking an Electromechanical Quality Inspector (Level 2) for a full-time on-site contract to support a data center program. You will perform in-process and final inspections of chillers, AHUs, and electromechanical assemblies, with emphasis on welding inspection and structural fabrication.

The role requires 5+ years welding inspection or 3+ years with ASME or CWI certification, reads engineering drawings, and reports findings using Google Sheets and Drive;

Qualifications

• 5+ years of welding inspection experience.
• ASME or CWI certification required or equivalent.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic wiring diagrams.
• Experience with visual, dimensional, and witness inspections in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on chillers, AHUs, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Conduct welding inspections per drawings and specifications.
• Inspect structural fabrication, rivets, and mechanical assemblies.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and witness inspections.
• Verify supplier conformance to inspection plans and quality requirements.
• Document nonconformances and assist with corrective actions.
