Job summary

Packsize is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, testing, and continuous improvement of electro‑mechanical machines. You will ensure products meet performance and quality specs before delivery while collaborating with design engineers, production, and QA teams.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise, the ability to read engineering drawings, and participation in Lean initiatives. Strong documentation and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Assoc degree in Manufacturing Tech or related field.
• 3+ years in machine assembly, testing, or manufacturing tech roles.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on experience.
• Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office; SAP/ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and electrical assembly of machines per drawings.
• Develop and refine assembly/testing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Set up and conduct machine tests including calibration and validation.
• Collect and analyze test data to verify tolerances and parameters.
• Collaborate with engineers to design fixtures, test rigs, and process docs.
• Identify and resolve issues; provide feedback for design/process improvements.
• Maintain records of steps, results, and nonconformances.
• Support new product introductions for prototypes and production builds.
• Participate in Lean, 5S, and root-cause analysis initiatives.
• Ensure safety and quality standards across operations.
• Train production staff in assembly, testing and commissioning standards.
