Qualifications

Position: Electromechanical Maintenance Technician


Shift: Nights (6PM-6AM)


Reports to: Maintenance Lead


Location: Bethel, PA


Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance on machinery and equipment, including planned and unplanned repairs on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.
  • Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and AC/DC drive systems.
  • Respond to emergency repairs as needed.
  • Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and read SPC charts and data.
  • Maintain proper function of manufacturing support systems.
  • Complete work orders accurately and promptly in CMMS.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and management regarding issues affecting production.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety standards and protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management by checking parts out and reporting low supplies.
  • Identify Critical Control Points (CCP) and follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of safety requirements in manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment following instructions and safety practices.
  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and SOPs.
  • Understanding of safety requirements before starting work.
  • Personal responsibility for safety and hazard correction.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associate's or Technical Degree in Mechanics, Electrical, or Computer Science preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
  • Experience with maintenance work order systems.
  • Welding and machining skills are a plus.
  • Ability to read mechanical, piping, and electrical drawings.
  • PLC certification required.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moving equipment, heat, humidity, noise.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, stooping, sitting.
  • Lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional typing.

Position Type:

  • Full-time with overtime as needed.
