HII's Newport News Shipbuilding in Virginia seeks an engineer who applies electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis and documentation of results; supports the design, testing and fabrication of prototype electromechanical systems.

Must have a Bachelor's Degree (ABET‑accredited) with 2 years of exempt experience, or a Master’s Degree with 0 year. Relocation assistance is available, and travel up to 10% is required.

• Master’s Degree in engineering is acceptable with 0 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Applies electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results.
• Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.
