Job summary

eInfochips in Pune, India is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2–3 years of product design and development. The candidate will design electromechanical products, develop 3D models and drawings using Creo Parametric, and support prototype builds.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including electronics, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality to deliver high-quality products, apply GD&T, perform tolerance analysis, and help bring designs from concept to production.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of mechanical product design experience.
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and assemblies.
• Understanding of NPD processes.
• Knowledge of plastic part design and injection molding.
• Experience in sheet metal, casting, and machined components.
• Good GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturability understanding.
• Basic knowledge of structural, thermal, or flow simulation.
• Prototype development and product validation experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for new product development.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using Creo Parametric.
• Design plastic, sheet metal, machined, and casting components.
• Support electromechanical products and enclosure design.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability and cost.
• Perform basic engineering calculations, GD&T application, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Support prototype development, testing, and design validation activities.
• Work closely with electronics, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams.
• Resolve design issues during prototype and production stages.
• Prepare engineering documentation, BOMs, and release packages.
