Job summary

Alcon in Johns Creek, GA seeks an Electromechanical Technical Support associate to diagnose and repair production equipment, enabling high uptime and product quality. The role involves night shifts (6:30 PM–6:30 AM), onsite operations, and collaboration with production teams to implement maintenance plans and improvements.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year of hands-on experience, and strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
English fluency (read, write, understand, communicate).
1+ year of hands-on manufacturing experience.
Direct machine maintenance experience preferred.
Technical certification or training in manufacturing technology or electrical engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to reduce downtime and elevate yield and quality.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and support predictive strategies.
Coach production personnel through technical hurdles and share knowledge.
Rebuild worn components to maintain 'as-built' condition.
Support retrofits and upgrades and draft repair SOPs.
Assist with validation protocols for equipment and process changes.
Drive continuous improvements in cost, throughput, yield, and quality.
