Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Industrial Division is seeking an experienced Buyer in Arlington Heights, IL to manage electromechanical purchasing. You will source plastics, metals, and electronic components, negotiate terms, and ensure quality and timely delivery.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Production to optimize inventory and costs, while supporting safety and compliance standards. The role requires 3+ years in purchasing, a supply chain master’s or equivalent experience, and strong negotiation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing electrical components and equipment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the IATF / ISO16949 norm.
• Experience with inventory management software/systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for electromechanical components.
• Identify and source new vendors for electrical and mechanical components.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with vendors.
• Ensure all purchases meet quality and safety standards.
• Work with Engineering and Production to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Manage inventory levels and value to maintain adequate stock.
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Develop and maintain purchasing reports and documentation.
