Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Assembly Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Long Beach, CA. You will assemble complex electromechanical energy systems and support production of critical power infrastructure equipment.

The ideal candidate interprets drawings and BOMs, uses hand/power tools, and maintains high workmanship standards. This is an onsite role collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Control, and Test teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have 2+ years in mechanical/electromechanical or manufacturing assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and precision measurement equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship standards
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products per drawings, BOMs, and work instructions
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and assembly documentation to ensure accurate builds
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measurement equipment to meet specifications
  • Perform visual inspections and basic functional checks prior to product handoff
  • Identify assembly defects and communicate findings to engineering teams
  • Collaborate with Quality Control and Testing to improve yield and flow
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment following safety standards
