Job summary

Compunnel Inc. is seeking an assembler for a 12+ month onsite contract in Austin, TX. You will assemble, inspect, and modify electromechanical subassemblies in a clean room environment, reading schematics and process plans to ensure quality.

You will use soldering and epoxy, operate production equipment, and maintain accurate records with MRP systems. Excellent attention to detail and adherence to instructions are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Read schematics, blueprints, drawings, process plans, and work instructions.
• Experience with electrical components and production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, drawings, process plans, and work instructions.
• Assemble electrical components using appropriate tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
• Perform manual soldering and epoxy application on electrical components.
• Inspect parts and materials for defects, flaws, and imperfections before use.
• Conduct self-inspections of completed work to ensure quality and conformance.
• Utilize fixturing to accurately build assemblies.
• Operate solder reflow ovens, semi-automated pick-and-place (P&P) machines, and automated measurement systems.
• Perform Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) of assembled components.
• Work effectively in a clean room environment.
• Maintain accurate production and data collection records using MRP and computer-based systems.
