Job summary

Miltec UV, located in Stevensville, Maryland, is seeking a seasoned Electromechanical Assembler for our Manufacturing Team. This full-time role focuses on building and wiring electronic systems for UV curing equipment, following schematics and blueprints, while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

The candidate will assemble lamp housings, power supplies, and back panels, perform system tests, and collaborate with engineering and service teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Associates degree in Electronics or commensurate experience.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools and electronic test equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety for medium/high voltage.
  • Read and interpret schematics; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronics per specifications.
  • Follow blueprints and assemble devices with hand and power tools.
  • Assemble and wire lamp housings.
  • Read and interpret wiring schematics and specs.
  • Build UV power supplies and lamps.
  • Fabrication and assembly of harnesses.
  • Conduct UV System Testing under direction.
  • Test Microwave UV power supplies and lamps under direction.
  • Assemble/wire back panels and power cabinets per instructions.
  • Perform RF Detector Calibrations.
  • Assist Service Department and interact with customers.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and collaborate with Engineering.
  • Document non-conforming materials.
  • Assist in training of others.
  • Follow safety requirements including PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Miltec UV is seeking a full-time Electromechanical Assembler to join our Manufacturing Team.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Electromechanical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing production processes within our Manufacturing Department, specifically supporting the development and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems and subsystems used in UV Curing equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronics according to product specifications
  • Follow blueprints to put together electronic devices, tools and products using hand and power tools and other assembly equipment
  • Assemble and wire lamp housings
  • Read and interpret wiring schematics and specification sheets.
  • Build UV power supplies and lamps
  • Fabrication and assembly of harnesses
  • Conduct HPI UV System Testing under direction and supervision
  • Testing of Microwave UV power supplies and lamps under direction and supervision
  • Assemble/wire HPI UV Back Panels and power cabinets per instructions
  • Perform RF Detector Calibrations
  • Ability to assist Service Department and interact with customers
  • Troubleshoot equipment and collaborate with Engineering Department to resolve issues
  • Document non-conforming materials
  • Assist in the training of others
  • Commitment to following all company, industry and regulatory safety requirements, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years pertinent experience building and assembling electromechanical systems
  • Associates degree in Electronics or commensurate experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the use of hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical safety principles related to medium/high voltage equipment, including the ability to recognize and mitigate electrical hazards
  • Good manual dexterity in handling of small objects & tools
  • Read and interpret schematics
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Intermediate math skills, including use of metric system measurements, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to communicate well with others at all levels of the organization, including external clients, visitors, etc.

  • Willingness to take required training classes
  • PLC knowledge is a big plus!
  • Understanding 5S / Lean Concepts is a big plus!
Work Hours

Miltec business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. We offer three optional flexible work schedules:

  • Plan A – Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 1 hour lunch (40 hours)
  • Plan B – Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 1 hour lunch OR 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 30-minute lunch (40 hours) – Friday off
  • Plan C – Tuesday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 1 hour lunch OR 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 30-minute lunch (40 hours) – Monday off
