Job summary

Kimtron, a growing Oxford, CT based manufacturer, is seeking an electro‑mechanical assembler/technician to join our team. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on skills with reliable communication and a positive work ethic to produce high‑quality components for demanding applications.

You will work with hand and power tools, read electrical prints, and build assemblies such as panels and wire harnesses while adhering to ISO 9001 standards and Six-Sigma practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year degree, some electro‑mechanical assembly experience and above average mechanical aptitude & manual dexterity required.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools is essential.
• Experience working in ISO 9001 environments is beneficial.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of all job-related hand tools.
• Working knowledge of common power tools.
• Ability to assemble back panels from an electrical print.
• Ability to fabricate wire harnesses from an electrical print.
• Ability to assemble fittings, pipes & hoses for fluid-circuit applications.
• Good work habits with a "clean-as-you-go" approach.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds to one’s waist.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment.
• Experience working in a Six-Sigma environment preferred.

The candidate must possess superior interpersonal and communication skills, professional maturity, positive work ethic and attitude, self‑motivation and the desire to grow within the organization. Minimum two‑year degree, some electro‑mechanical assembly experience and above average mechanical aptitude & manual dexterity required. Candidate may be required to submit to random drug testing and must be willing to work in a nonsmoking environment and surrounding area.
