Job summary

Sonoco in City of Industry, CA is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Technician responsible for proactive maintenance of production equipment. You will perform maintenance tasks to ensure high quality, timely shipments, and uphold safety standards.

The role requires experience in industrial settings, PLC troubleshooting, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $39.38-$42.23 per hour, Monday to Friday days, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial environment troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and motor controls preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with mechanical lifts, ladders and bending.
• Ability to work independently with rotating shifts and overtime including weekends.

• Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production
• Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PM’s, and rebuilds.
• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.

While reporting to thePlant Engineer OR Maintenance Supervisor,as theIndustrial Maintenance Reliability Technician/Maintenance/Electro Mechanic,responsibleforperformingmaintenancetasks, specifically proactive tasks,necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely shipment of Sonoco products.Safety, quality, productivityandstrongwork ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

We’d love to hear from you if:

• You have experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls preferred
• Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting;lifting upto 50lbs.
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks in anoff shiftposition with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends
