Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Electromechanic to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems on food processing equipment at our Parsippany‑Troy Hills facility. Focused on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and rapid responsive support to production lines to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma, strong knowledge of automation controls, and the ability to read manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and automation controls.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on processing machinery, packaging equipment, conveyors, and automated systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues including motors, sensors, PLCs, and control panels.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems involving gearboxes, belts, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and support production during critical operations.

Job Summary: Electromechanic

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70,720.00 - $79,040.00 per year.
