Job summary

Professional Software Engineering, Inc. (PROSOFT) is hiring a Joint Services Electromagnetic Spectrum Subject Matter Expert for 100% onsite work at the Pentagon. You will work with military services to assess and manage their use of the electromagnetic spectrum for national defense.

If you have EW experience, this is the position for you to help solve complex defense missions. TS/SCI clearance is required. An AA/BA or MS with 8–10+ years of relevant experience qualifies, plus knowledge

Qualifications

  • Graduate of IRFMS or Army Spectrum Management Course preferred.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience (or 8+ with BA).
  • Experience coordinating with DoD and other agencies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for electromagnetic compatibility and spectrum planning across environments.
  • Maintain a frequency request and assignment database and perform reviews.
  • Prepare and forward formatted frequency requests to appropriate agencies for coordination.
  • De-conflict frequencies using automated systems and resolve interference.

Job description

Location: 100% onsite at the Pentagon

Occasional travel 2 times a year to Hawaii and Colorado Springs.

As a Joint Services Electromagnetic Spectrum Subject Matter Expert, you will be working with the military services in assessing and managing their use of the electromagnetic spectrum for national defense. If you have experience in Electronic Warfare, this is the position for you. You understand the nuances of an invisible domain of warfare. You use your skills to think bigger and push farther, solving complex problems. We're looking for someone like you to help create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.

TS/SCI Clearance Is Required

You Have
  • Associate and 10+ years of relevant experience or BA and 8+ years of relevant experience
  • TS/SCI clearance
Nice If You Have
  • Military experience in an electronic warfare specialty service, such as U.S. Army Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) or experience as a Signals or Communications officer
  • Experience coordinating with other DoD entities, including the Joint Staff, Service Components, and non-DoD organizations, such as DHS and the Department of State
  • Graduate of the Inter-service Radio Frequency Management School (IRFMS) or The Army Spectrum Management Course
Functional Responsibility

Provides support and participate in the forums and activities associated with Electromagnetic Compatibility and capabilities across spectrum environments. Supports the DoD's global mission requirements with alignment of Joint Staff operational requirements. Maintains a database of frequency requests and assignments and performs reviews and updates. Addresses resolving frequency interference from reports and maintaining an incident database. Prepares and forwards formatted frequency requests to the appropriate military or civilian agency for coordination and approval and maintain collaboration with external customers. Performs frequency planning, selection, and de-conflicting using automated systems.

Minimum Education or Experience Requirements

Graduate of the Inter-service Radio Frequency Management School (IRFMS) or The Army Spectrum Management Course. AA and 10+ years of relevant experience or BA and 8+ years of relevant experience or MS and 6+ years of relevant experience. Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.

  • Equipment Location Certification Information database (EL-CID)
  • Spectrum XXI
  • Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO)
  • Stepstone
  • World Radio Conference Support.
  • Development of Spectrum related standards and policies.

Preferred: JCIDS experience/DAU training.
