Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is seeking an Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Analyst to join Warfare Systems in Annapolis Junction, MD. This SECRET-cleared role will provide expert guidance on EW doctrine, tactics, stakeholder engagement, and operational integration across Army-aligned programs.

You will interview stakeholders across 17E, 25E, and 35N, develop operational vignettes, and ensure COAs comply with Army doctrine, policies, and ROE. Onsite work is required in Maryland.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 7+ years with a Master's; 4+ years with a PhD/JD; or 13 years with a high school diploma.
  • Extensive experience in electromagnetic warfare operations, military doctrine, and operational planning.
  • Familiarity with stakeholder communities aligned to 17E, 25E, and 35N fields.
  • Strong understanding of Army MTTP, COA development, and doctrinal compliance.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex military systems, training events, and operational concepts.
  • Excellent communication and briefing skills for senior military and civilian audiences.
  • SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, MTTP, force planning, and training exercises.
  • Coordinate with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.
  • Analyze the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to maintain capabilities.
  • Compare, analyze and evaluate the relative merits of program designs and alternatives.
  • Apply emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from AWEs, ATDs, or Force XXI activities, to system design and development.
  • Assess the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine.
  • Prepare reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD, United States

This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT, electronic warfare, and C5ISR systems. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners.

HII has a need for an Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Operations SME who will provide expert-level guidance on EW doctrine, tactics, stakeholder engagement, and operational integration. This role is responsible for conducting stakeholder interviews across key military occupational specialties (17E, 25E, 35N), developing operational vignettes, and ensuring all courses of action (COA) fully comply with Army doctrine, tactics, techniques, procedures, and rules of engagement.

Position will require onsite attendance located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Requirements
