Job summary

General Galactic Technologies Corporation is seeking an Electrolyzer Mechanical Design Engineer to lead development, scale-up, and integration of stack designs for Triton, our high-pressure water electrolyzer. You will own designs from requirements through flight qualification, applying fluids, thermal analysis, and electrochemistry to real hardware.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related technical field.
• 2+ years designing, analyzing, building, or testing electrochemical/mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with electrochemical stacks or similar sealed hardware.
• Familiarity with electrolytic cells, fuel cells, batteries, heat exchangers or stacked electrochemical hardware.
• Strong fundamentals in fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanical design.
• Ability to use hand calculations, spreadsheets, Python, MATLAB, CAD, FEA, and CFD.

Responsibilities

• Own electrochemical hardware design, testing, and analysis.
• Design, analyze, build, and test electrolyzer components and stacks.
• Optimize sealing performance and electrochemical efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis to drive design improvements.
• Contribute to Genesis systems, including fuel cells and thermal controls.
• Perform system sizing analyses using fluid and thermal concepts.
