Job Description

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Electrodiagnostic Tech to join our Neurology team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

Regularly performs one or more of the following neurological tests on adult patients (as ordered by a physician).

Core Responsibilities
  • Inpatient and outpatient routine EEGs
  • Ambulatory EEGs
  • Continuous video EEG monitoring
  • Inpatient and outpatient EMGs
  • Monitor patients on the floor between Epilepsy surgeries
  • Set up and assist with cortical STIM studies
  • Set-up and monitor patients during WADA procedures
  • Obtain standard and advanced nerve conduction recordings under direction of an electrodiagnostic medicine consultant
  • Check and maintain instruments, keep them in excellent condition
  • Maintain files and records relevant to departmental activities
  • Clean and maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Perform EEGs for greater than 50% of FTE and participate equitably in call rotation (24‑hour coverage for 7 consecutive days every 3 weeks)
Work Schedule
  • Monday through Friday, daytime hours
  • Participates in call coverage (24‑hour coverage for 7 consecutive days every 3 weeks, compensated at a premium rate)
Required Qualifications
  • Must have EMG Certification*
  • Certification/graduate of accredited END program accredited by the Committee of Allied Health Education
  • OR 5 years of working experience in the Neurodiagnostic field and become certified in END or obtain registration in one of the following within one year: EEG (R. EEG T.), Evoked Potentials (R. EP T.), Nerve Conduction (R. NCS T.)
  • Strong clinical and human relations skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age‑related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
  • Proven proficiency in operation of Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, all versions of the EEG testing machines and collection devices, and supporting equipment

  • Associate degree from an accredited college
