Job summary

Saft is seeking an Electrodes Technician to join our manufacturing team in Maryland. The role involves creating, testing, and maintaining electrodes, following strict safety protocols, and documenting results precisely.

You will calibrate equipment, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with engineers to improve processes. The position requires 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience as an electrode technician or similar role is preferred.

  • Set up, operate and maintain production equipment, machines, and tools using process documents, diagrams, and written instructions.
  • Test electrodes for quality, performance, and durability.
  • Maintain an inventory of electrode materials and supplies.
  • Calibrate and maintain electrode manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrode production issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams to improve electrode designs and processes.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrode Technician to join our team. As an electrode technician, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process by creating, testing, and maintaining electrodes for various applications. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to quality will ensure the successful production of our products.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills are a must
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferably running machinery
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of electrode manufacturing processes
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to perform precise measurements and detect small variances in the process that may affect product quality
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to comprehend written instructions and to clearly document and record the results of the work performed
  • Experience as an electrode technician or similar role is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to wear a respirator (full time during equipment operation and setup)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Medically and physically capable to work in the presence of numerous chemicals and strong magnets
  • Work environment will be in a dry room where cooled and low humidity air is constantly present
  • This position will require standing for most of each day
