Job summary

EnPower Inc. d/b/a CAMINUS in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Electrode Coating Technician to operate, monitor, and maintain electrode coating equipment for battery electrode production. You will support quality, safety, and process stability in a fast-paced plant.

The role requires 2+ years of machine setup experience, a high school diploma (Associates preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred in manufacturing, industrial technology, or engineering technology.
• 2+ years of hands-on machine setup experience in a manufacturing environment; battery experience desirable.
• Ability to write and maintain accurate SOPs, work instructions and technical documentation.
• Comfortable around industrial equipment and chemical materials; PPE required.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing standing/sitting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrode coating, drying, calendaring, slitting, and material handling equipment to meet daily/weekly production goals.
• Prepare and load coating materials, slurries, rolls, and substrates per work instructions.
• Monitor coating parameters (thickness, web tension, line speed, oven temps, viscosity, coating weight).
• Inspect coated electrodes for defects and ensure quality for downstream assembly.
• Record production data and process parameters in manufacturing systems or logs.
• Assist in machine setup, changeovers, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
