Michigan Medicine is seeking an EKG Technician to operate electrocardiograph (EKG) machines and record heart activity for diagnosis and treatment. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, and process data for physicians.
Responsibilities include interpreting support data, assisting with Holter recordings, and ensuring accurate ECG storage and reporting. Strong attention to detail and patient education are essential.

8-hour shifts, which are variable between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm (as an example, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with the latest shift among those being 9:30 am to 6:00 pm). There is also one required Saturday 4-hour shift every 6 to 8 weeks.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
