Job summary

Brimrose is looking for Electro-Optics Technicians to join our growing team in Hunt Valley, MD. Earn paid on-the-job training and develop valuable hands-on skills in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.

You will build, test, and troubleshoot electro-optic components; assemble surface mount boards; and perform data collection and analysis to support R&D and production. Experience in electronics or photonics is a plus, and we offer opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and implement electronic/optical schematics.
• Ability to use oscilloscopes, multi-meter optical spectrum analyzers, and optical power meters.
• Ability to use of basic hand tools, soldering tools, and other assembly tools.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Build, test, and troubleshoot electro-optic components.
• Build circuit boards that require surface mount soldering, circuit board assembly, and wire harness assembly.

Requirements:

• Ability to interpret and implement electronic/optical schematics.

Experience:

• Experience in wiring, soldering operations, and surface mount soldering.
• Experience in using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers considered a plus.
• Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical parts and assemblies desirable.
