Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory seeks candidates to join dynamic teams working on space, airborne, hypersonic, rocket, control, and optical technology projects. You will contribute to multidisciplinary efforts in sensor development, phenomenology, and algorithmic analysis to support future interceptor and space missions.

The role emphasizes developing new algorithms, modeling sensor performance, and testing in laboratory and field environments, with experience in infrared phenomenology and AI a plus.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a PhD, or an MS with five to seven years of experience in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aero/Astro Engineering or similar.
  • Experience with infrared technology, phenomenology, algorithms, and testing is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Join multidisciplinary teams on space, airborne, hypersonic, rocket, control, and optical technology projects.
  • Develop capabilities to support advanced sensor, hypersonic, or space vehicle design and analysis.
  • Work on advanced algorithm development, phenomenology modeling, and sensor performance modeling.
  • Analyze data and apply novel algorithms to various missions.
  • Contribute to testing and validation in laboratory, ground, and flight environments.
