Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Ashaway, RI is seeking a Manufacturing Technician A to support development and production electronics, fiber optic and mechanical components. The role involves reading engineering drawings and test procedures, performing rework, and supporting quality testing under a 9/80 schedule with occasional OT. Qualifications include a High School Diploma and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Secret Clearance. IPC J-STD-001 solder certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance.
• High school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles electrical and optical components and harnesses using fixtures and tooling.
• Tests electrical and optical assemblies with ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
• Recommends changes to procedures to improve component performance.
• Sets up test equipment and circuits for functional, environmental and life tests.
• Follows product test procedures and safety practices per quality system.
• Notifies supervisor for quality defects or safety concerns.
• Follows assembly procedures and safety requirements and maintains performance targets.
• Promotes collaboration with coworkers and external partners to obtain optimal solutions.
